Great Mosque of Aleppo

Aleppo's Great Mosque, first built under the Umayyads in the 8th century, with one of the finest patterned stone courtyards anywhere. Its Seljuk minaret is being rebuilt.

History

First built in the early 8th century; its original minaret dated from 1090.
