Syria GateThe Mahmandar Mosque (Arabic: جَامِع الْمَهْمَنْدَار, romanized: Jāmiʿ al-Mahmandār) is a mosque in Aleppo, Syria. It is located in the Ancient part of the city, a World Heritage Site, north to the Citadel of Aleppo.
History
ومهمندار هي كلمة فارسية تتكون من كلمتين : مهمن ومعناها الضيف ودار بمعنى مسؤول. تهدم المسجد في زلزال 1822م، وبقيت المئذنة التي أعيد بناؤها سنة 1946م.
